As I write my first blog post I am reminded what technology has done for the real estate business. I began my career as a realtor January 1993 and computers were not in the equation. The multiple listing service (MLS) was a book that was published weekly, so getting information about a new listing was a bit more challenging than today. I remember getting my first mobile phone - it was in a bag and the handset was larger than a typical land line phone - but of course I thought I was cool and cutting edge. I guess it really was for that time!
So as I am launching my new web site today I am embracing change to the best of my ability --- one step at a time. I will write mostly about real estate related items, with a focus on the Des Moines west neighborhoods. As I am sure this will be a work in progress, I look forward to my new endeavor.
